AHDS Annual Sponsorship
About the Sponsorship
The AHDS has been established to sponsor an amateur Australian rider on an Australian bred horse, trained by the rider to medium level.
We will be awarding a single grant each year. The grant will comprise a cash prize plus in-kind goods and services (eg horse feed, equipment) raised by the Scholarship each year.
Entries for the AHDS scholarship will open in May.
Entry and Judging Criteria
Applicants must be Australian riders on an Australian bred horse, trained by the rider to medium dressage level.
A panel of five judges will assess the applications on the following:
- Their performance in official Australian dressage competitions in the year preceding the date of calling for applications. Standard FEI guidelines (the Grade Point System) will be applied in calculating points.
- Their completed application form including:

Their personal training program

How they intend to use the funds
-
How they currently are, and intend to, contribute to the sport of dressage in Australia
- Nomination of two (2) referees.

The AHDS Award Selection Panel of Judges is comprised of The Hon. Kevin Rozolli AM, Carolyn Lieutenant, Roger Fitzhardinge, Dr. Jennifer Scott and Philippa Honner.
How to enter
To enter for the 2009 AHDS Sponsorship Award please fill out the attached Application Form and send by registered post to the AHDS Secretary, at the address indicated on the Form.

To qualify for the 2009 AHDS Sponsorship Award submissions must be received by 31 November 2009.
